Chairman and Founder Tom Sanderson - ThunderTomCat

A northern boy who can still do the accent if exposed to a Mancunian for far too long. Tom came up with the idea for the MK Furs after realising there were no meets around Milton Keynes, despite there being a fair number of furries in the area. He was introduced to the fandom last year by Tilus, who took him to the SotonFurs meets to cheer him up. Tom loved it so much, he stayed and created his own fursona.

He’s like Captain Picard, just with more hair.

Vice Chairman

Jonathan Andrews - Nero Kohtalo

Jon was pulled into the fandom when he met Tom. He even ended up with his own fursona, a very well dressed black panther named Nero. Jon’s job as Vice Chairman is to work as a second check for the chair as well as provide feedback and alternative options.  Jon loves sci-fi, or anything dark and supernatural. He also refuses to dance and plays more Skyrim than is deemed healthy.

He’s like Commander Riker, just shorter and with a better beard.

Event Liaison, Graphic Designer and Miracle Worker

Tilus Clark - Lutis aka TiWolf

Originally from Cardiff, Ti attended his first furmeet in 2008 and by his second meet was helping organise fursuit activities and has never looked back. He’s worked for SotonFurs as their Vice-chairman, London Furs as their Fursuiting Lead and all round miracle worker for Thames Valley Furs.  He has designed the logo and merchandise for SotonFurs, the graphics for Thames Valley Furs, OxfordFurs and our own logos and backgrounds here at MKFurs.  Ti loves remote control vehicles, nerf guns and model steam engines.

He is like Lt. Commander Geordie Laforge; A miracle worker who keeps the ship running and fixes everything

Adviser to chair

James Montgomery

James was roped in for his business knowledge and experience.  Jon met James a few years ago at university and the two have been practically brothers ever since. James has a keen business sense and is also a trusted advisor. James is new to our mad mad furry world, but his advice helps us to run smoothly and deal with situations before they become a problem. James is also a semi-pro boxer and father to three lovely girls.

James is like Lt. Commander Worf; he’s calm, cool under pressure, and has more honour in his little finger then most of us have in our entire bodies.

We can all be contacted via the Facebook group, Twitter @MKFurs or at miltonkeynesfurs@gmail.com
